Ampthill. General Election 23 Feb 1950. Alan Lennox-Boyd, Conservative, was elected, as he had been in every General Election since 1931.

Nationally the Election resulted in Labour receiving a slim majority of just 5 seats over all other parties, and the party called another General Election in 1951 which the Conservatives won with an overall majority of 17.
